RUP grinder overhauls: rebuilding hydrostatic precision
Return to micron tolerances. Grinding has zero tolerance for vibration. Years of load degrade base geometry on universal RUP grinders. FMT reverses that with capital overhauls based on original assembly technology.
The core is regenerating spindle and hydrostatic ways. We restore oil-film stiffness, eliminate stick-slip and recover surface finish capability. Rebuilds end with calibration and grinding trials so the machine leaves the plant able to hold roughness and roundness targets again.
